Environmental Policy
The Great American Park LLC is committed to providing an environmentally-friendly place to enjoy the outdoors and the sports of mud riding and rock crawling. In order to remain in accordance with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management’s (ADEM) standards for protecting the environment, the Great American Park LLC has created designated riding areas and trails that are protected by erosion control measures, which prevent dirt and sediments from washing into our state’s natural water sources. The Park has also created these designated areas to prevent unnecessary and reckless destruction of land. While adding such measures increases our cost of maintaining the Park, we are committed to keeping you and our environment safe. Please join us in protecting our environment by obeying all signs, staying on roads and trails, and riding only in designated areas for trucks and ATVs.
Severe Weather Policy
In the event of severe weather issued by the National Weather Service, including hail, lightning storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc., the Great American Park will not open. In the case of such an event, we will post updates via Twitter, Facebook, and thegreatamericanpark.com by 11pm C.S.T. the night before an event is to take place. Please note that the park will not close in the event of rain.
